new model bikes in india

There is nothing like the exhilarating feeling of touring around on a motorcycle. Wind in your face, the freedom of the road ahead.
Touring on motorcycles has now become a big thing, it used to be the grey nomads would head off into retirement with their caravan, four wheel drive vehicle and a map with no idea of where the next week will take them.
Now people ar retiring earlier than ever before and heading overseas for some adventure on the back of a motorcycle.
India and The Greek Islands are two of the most pop places that these new age bikies are heading for, you have the exemption to travel to untouched places that you would ne’er get to experience on an organised tour.
So pack up your backpacks, buy yourself a ticket and head off someplace exotic on two wheels.
It is now an easy thing to see the world on a motorcycle, there ar many tours that you can pre book before you even leave home, or you can arrive in your country of choice and as long as you have the necessary drive license requirements, you can hire a bike and set off into the sunset.
A lot of people are choosing also to buy a bike overseas, that gives them the freedom to travel astatine their own pace without expensive long term rental costs, bikes can easily be sold when they return home. There are also growing amount of bikers travelling around the USA on Harley Davidsons that they purchased for a divide of the cost than in their home country, then shipping their Harley home.
Travelling on two wheels can be fun for all ages, in Thailand scooters ar the main source of transport, and it is not unusual to see a whole family on one scooter plus their shopping, and it is extremely cheap there for tourists to hire these scooters to discover the beautiful island. Imagine stopping along the roadside in a beautiful little cafe for lunch before heading off for the afternoon to a secluded beach for some swimming and snorkelling. Thailand is especially great because it is so cheap to stay, eat and shop there, and to hire a scooter it will cost around $8 USD per day!
Before you leave home though, I would extremely recommend making sure you have adequate travel insurance just in case of an accident.
The only negative I can see about touring on a motorcycle is the amount of clothes you can take or of course helmet hair! A small price to pay!

Bajaj XCD125 DTS Si

The Bajaj XCD 125 DTS-Si has set a benchmark in an effort to become one of the best selling bikes in the 125cc segment. Since its launch in 2007, it seems to have overtaken all the 125cc bikes. Around 40% of the motorcycle market is constituted by the 125cc segment and XCD alone contributes 13%. Mr. Amit Nandi, General Manager, Bajaj Auto said, "60% of Bajaj XCD 125 DTS-Si customers were erstwhile 100 cc customers who felt compelled to choose the XCD 125 over other 100cc products due to its obvious superiority on performance, features and fuel economy on the one hand and the sporty, youthful image of the Bajaj Brand on the other". The XCD was introduced as an extended version of 100cc bikes with improved power and features. It comes in two options of electric start and kick start.

Engine
Powered by the latest DTS-Si technology, Bajaj promises to offer the maximum power of 10.85 Nm @ 5000 rpm and the wonderful mileage of 109kmpl. The bike pulls smoothly through the gears and is comfortable to go around in top gear. The engine is relatively smooth and avoids vibrations though still needed to be improved when compared with the peers.

Design And Comfort
The XCD 125cc looks quite eye-catching and it is in line with other bikes of Bajaj. The Headlamp, Side-Panels, Tail Lamps are all sourced from Pulsar and Discover. The built quality is up to the standard. It also comes with a self starter. It also features Digital Speedometer and the switches are the best in this segment. Push to cancel turn indicator switch is present along with the high bean flasher and the Ride Control switch. With all these unique features further added by chain cover with built-in noise-damping system, full DC electrical system for quick and easy start and the new concept of folding front plate number, the XCD looks sharp and handsome.

Ride And Handling
The ride quality of XCD 125 is very good and we can have the feel of a bigger bike while riding. It has almost become a good service of Bajaj to offer the best ride quality among Indian bikes. The Pulsars have already been named for the best ride quality in the country followed by the Discover 135 and now the XCD. In the actual city conditions, it runs on around 70 km per liter and thus it has been named among the most fuel efficient motorcycles in India. In short, XCD is a good package that comes with the satisfying ride quality, good handling, powerful pick up and the better fuel economy.

Variants, Price And Color
The available colors of Bajaj XCD 125 DTS-Si are Blue, Black, Red and Silver.

Bajaj Discover 150 DTSi

Bajaj Auto has time and again proved its mettle in the two wheeler market, with the Discover 100, Pulsar 220 and Pulsar 135, all of which have registered record sales. This year, a little less than six years after the introduction of the Discover 100, Bajaj India introduced its Bajaj Discover 150 DTS-i, which comes equipped with a front disc brake, the Molycote Piston which lowers friction between parts and many other features which make it quite a grab in the commuter's bike section.

Engine
Bajaj Discover 150 DTS-i is a 4-Stroke vehicle that is powered by a 144.8cc DTS-i engine, which is capable of generating maximum power of around 12.8 Bhp at the speed of 7500 rpm and render a maximum torque of around 12.7 Nm at the low speed of 5500 rpm, which is enough to put it in the bracket of a solid commuter's bike. According to claims made by the manufacturers, the Discover 150 is capable of rendering a mileage of 65kmpl. The bike sports 130mm telescopic front suspension coupled with Nitrox aided suspension at the rear.

Design And Comfort
As far as the design and the looks of the Discover 150 DTS-i, the manufacturers seem to be in no hurry to please any section of the consumer base, which is why this machine comes in an extremely simple and minimalistic design. In essence, the design and looks more or less resemble the Discover 100, its predecessor. In addition to what the Discover 100 already had, the Discover 150 is equipped with LED tail lamps, nitrox suspension, front disc brake, electric start and wider rear tyre.

Ride And Handling
When it comes to the practical handling of the Bajaj Discover 150, one could say that the rock-solid seat that it features could prove to be the ONLY distraction, which applies more to longer commuting routes rather than everyday usage. Weighing a comfortable 121kg and rendering its maximum torque at the low speed of 5500rpm, this bike is an easy choice for the commuters. For handling unevenness on roads and to render smoother rides, the Nitrox Gas suspension technology is employed as shock absorber.

Variants, Price And Color
The Bajaj Discover 150 DTS-i comes in two combinations, with black as the base colour – Black with Royal Blue and Black with Fiery Red. In most cities, the ex-showroom price of Bajaj Discover 150 is quoted as Rs. 46000.
